• Conversion of text files into data and subsequent analysis – at its basic level this is straightforward but sometimes the data needs to be manipulated from the output files generated by some systems so that it can easily be structured into data.

• Isolation of key attributes in data to allow groupings on those attributes – for example perhaps your customer or product codes are structured with certain digits in certain consistent locations within the codes but you don’t have a means to aggregate your data into those groupings.
